Request for creation of tables to support attachments in field characterization

During the development and use of the field characterization module, we have identified the need to incorporate visual evidence (e.g., photographs) to enrich the documentation of certain descriptors, such as flower color, plant height, among others.

Currently, GGCE does not allow attaching files directly to observations of these descriptors, which limits our ability to document and analyze plant material effectively.

For this reason, we propose the creation of two new tables:

• crop_trait_observation_attach
• crop_trait_observation_data_attach

These tables would allow storing and classifying attachments related to field characterization observations, following the same file management model that GGCE already uses in other modules.

Expected benefits:

• Improved traceability and visual documentation of descriptors.
• Enhanced morphological characterization of plant material.
• Unified standard for handling file attachments within the system.
